Mom and Dad is a singer-songwriter kind of tune. Although I’m not a skilled singer, this song is just me on vocal and acoustic guitar. Recently, I was rehearsing solo acoustic songs for some gigs and I found the lyric sheet for this song. I had written this in 1975 for my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary. It was my first complete song. When I found this tune I played it by myself for old time’s sake. It moved me to tears so, I had to include the song in my repertoire.
